October 10, 2005 People in Business KAREN MARCUM joined Santa Cruz County Bank as vice president, relationship manager. Marcum will focus on serving the banking needs of local individuals and businesses and on building the banks deposit base. Her banking career began in 1976 at the Eastside office of County Bank and Trust, where she was financial services specialist for 10 years. For the next 18 years she worked at Bank of the West, most recently as assistant vice president, sales manager. Marcum has lived in Santa Cruz County for 34 years and is a graduate of Harbor High School. An avid golfer, she has organized many local tournaments to raise funds for charitable organizations and is active with the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce.
